Attach a supported document or paste text. Atticus screens recognized names and identifying details before processing. Screening is imperfect; use synthetic information for evaluation and follow your school’s authorization process before any real-student use.
Review structured supports
When a document is recognized as an IEP or 504 plan, you can choose the structured-tags path. An AI extraction step reads screened text and proposes catalog supports, plan type, an IDEA classification where stated, a reading band, and short learning-need phrases. Review, remove, or edit the suggestions before adding the resulting block to chat.
Ask about the assignment in front of you
Discuss questions such as “How could I chunk these directions while keeping the same task?” Pin an assignment to give the conversation its stored assignment context. Check any response against the original plan, task, and rubric.
Know the limits
This is support for teacher judgment. It does not establish eligibility, write an authoritative plan, or guarantee a complete reading of every document. Extracted attachment text is capped at 50,000 characters; structured extraction keeps at most 12 catalog supports. Longer content can be truncated, and suggestions can miss or misread details. Tags reviewed in chat do not automatically update a student’s roster profile.
