Understand what is processed before you share.
A practical overview of AIccommodate’s documented safeguards and their limits. The Privacy Policy contains the detailed disclosures; school documentation is available by request.
Request school privacy documentationEvaluate with sample information
Use synthetic student information while evaluating the product. Real-student use requires school-specific authorization and the applicable data agreement and activation process. A demo account or an available upload button is not permission to submit student records.
Screened text is still processed by AI
Teacher text and extracted document text are screened using recognized roster names and pattern-based detection. The screen can miss identifying information. Structured-support extraction sends screened document text to an AI provider; the reviewed support block is then added to chat. Do not assume the original narrative stays entirely on your device or server.
Audio and images need separate care
Voice recordings and images used by import tools have different processing paths. Atticus extracts text from attached pictures on our server by default; its separate “Send picture” option can send the image to an AI provider after screening. Check the Privacy Policy’s disclosures for each input type and keep identifying information out of audio and images.
Storage and access have different layers
Documented safeguards include field-level AES-256-GCM encryption for designated sensitive student fields, teacher-scoped access checks, and database access policies. These controls do not make every field encrypted or every AI response accurate.
Temporary attachments are not the whole retention story
Unsent pending attachments expire after 30 minutes. Extracted text sent in a conversation and saved materials have separate storage and retention rules. AI providers have their own processing, retention, and training terms. A restriction on model training does not mean a request is retained for zero days. Review the provider-specific disclosures in the Privacy Policy and request the documentation your school needs.
Ask for the documentation your school needs
Email hello@aiccommodate.com to request the school data agreement, vendor and processing information, or a walkthrough of the sample-data workflow. Review those materials through your school’s own approval process.
